For extreme environments that require high resistance to corrosion or need aesthetically pleasing grates, we recommend Stainless Steel. The long lasting components of Stainless Steel make it a very economical choice over the long term. It is manufactured from 304, 304L, 316, or 316L alloys.
Stainless Steel is commonly used in food processing plants, breweries, and dairies, to sewage/power plants, and hydrocarbon facilities.
Stainless Steel Bar Grating is available in Plain or Serrated surfaces and comes welded (S), riveted(RS), or press-locked (SP). The grating is available in Plain or Serrated surfaces, with cross bar spacing at 2" or 4" on center and bearing bar spacing ranging from 19/16" to 7/16" on center. For custom sizes and openings please contact Golden State Grating.
During the fabrication process stainless steel can become a little discolored due to the welding and cutting. If the grates will be used in an industrial application and appearance is not key, they will work adequately. For a cleaner look, sandblasting or electro-polishing can be used to remove any discoloration. Please contact Golden State Grating for further information.
